IVE Takes the Stage in Germany
K-pop sensation IVE—consisting of members An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo—has landed in Germany to perform at one of the world’s biggest music festivals. The group is set to perform a 55-minute solo set on August 12 (local time) at Lollapalooza Berlin, held at the historic Olympiastadion & Olympiapark Berlin.
Making Waves on the Global Festival Scene
This isn’t IVE’s first brush with global festival fame. They made a splash last year at Lollapalooza Chicago, delivering a dynamic debut performance that garnered widespread acclaim. With live band arrangements and airtight vocals, they quickly won over the audience and critics alike.
Music media took notice. Rolling Stone praised them as “IVE rocking the stage with live arrangements,” while Billboard listed their appearance as one of the top 10 performances at the festival, lauding their “flawless vocal spectacle that captivated the entire audience.”
Breaking Records, Raising Expectations
IVE remains the only K-pop girl group invited to perform at Lollapalooza for two consecutive years, including three total appearances across Chicago, Berlin, and their upcoming show in Paris on August 20. Their presence at such globally recognized events showcases their increasing influence in the international music scene.
Their live track record is matched by recording success. With their third mini-album IVE EMPATHY released this February, the group swept Korean music shows with a combined 15 wins—11 for “REBEL HEART” and four for “ATTITUDE.” They are also set to appear at the halftime show for the Coupang Play Series game on June 30.
IVE Shares Their Excitement
Speaking through their agency Starship Entertainment, IVE shared, “It’s an honor and thrill to be part of Lollapalooza again. Last year’s stage remains a cherished memory, and we hope to connect and enjoy this incredible experience with fans around the world once more.”
With their anticipated Lollapalooza Berlin performance just around the corner, global K-pop fans are eagerly awaiting another legendary stage from one of Korea’s most in-demand idol groups.
