VIVIZ vs. Close Your Eyes: K-pop Groups Join ‘Gag Concert’ Comedy Battle

K-pop groups VIVIZ and Close Your Eyes will face off in a hilarious segment on the upcoming episode of 'Gag Concert,' airing on July 13 at 11 PM on KBS2.

K-pop Meets Comedy in Unlikely Crossover

The upcoming episode of KBS2’s beloved comedy show ‘Gag Concert’, airing on July 13 at 11 PM, will feature a star-studded face-off that fans won’t want to miss. K-pop girl group VIVIZ and rookie boy group Close Your Eyes will appear as special guests, bringing unexpected laughs to the small screen.

‘Battle of the Century’ Gets a K-pop Twist

Known for its sharp sketch formats, ‘Gag Concert’ will present a unique comedy segment titled ‘Battle of the Century’, where younger and older generations of comedians compete in short-form skits. This week’s episode adds a twist: VIVIZ joins the YB (Young Blood) team as a secret weapon, while Close Your Eyes takes on a wildcard role for the OB (Old Blood) team.

The K-pop idols, typically seen on polished stages delivering slick performances, will dive headfirst into quirky comedy routines, showing off a different side of their charm. With the OB team currently leading 5–2, all eyes are on whether VIVIZ can change the tide or if Close Your Eyes will seal the OB team’s winning streak.

Stealing Scenes and Spotlight

The laughs don’t stop at one segment. Both groups will also make surprise appearances in a skit called ‘You Asked for It’, proving their comedic chops alongside the show’s regular cast. Anticipation is also high for how comedian Jo Hyunmin will unleash his trademark biting wit on guest stars Kim Ji-young and Lee Subin who follow in the lineup.

Paranormal with a Punchline

In another highlight, the beloved character ‘Ghost’ from the ‘Simgok Police Station’ skit will have their MBTI revealed, offering a laugh-out-loud look at how even spirits deal with identity crises. DJ ‘Ghost’ (played by comedian Suh Sungkyung) also turns up the energy—or the afterlife vibes—by spinning hilarious tracks during a ghost gathering. Even castmate Song Pilgeun couldn’t handle it, exclaiming, “He’s completely out of his mind!”

‘Gag Concert’ continues to reinvent itself with fresh crossover episodes, ensuring that K-pop fans and comedy lovers alike have something to look forward to each week.

Don’t Miss It!

Tune in to KBS2 on July 13 at 11 PM to witness this spectacular collision of K-pop flair and comedic fire.
