MONSTA X Hits the Road Again with Hyungwon in Tow

K-pop group MONSTA X returns with member Hyungwon for a fun-filled reality show travel episode, showcasing their humor, culinary challenges, and thrilling paragliding adventure.

Hyungwon Returns—The Trip Begins

On June 11, MONSTA X released a new episode of their self-filmed reality show Mon Eat Do Go on their official YouTube channel. The episode featured member Hyungwon, who recently completed his mandatory military service, joining the group once again on a celebratory trip that excited fans.

Games, Laughs, and One Unlucky Lunch Buyer

The episode kicked off with members Shownu, Minhyuk, and Hyungwon arriving on time, while Kihyun and Joohoney showed up late. As a lighthearted penalty, Joohoney was hilariously singled out—once again—to buy lunch. “Why is it always me?!” he exclaimed as the rest of the group burst into laughter.

Matching Outfits and a Cooking Mission

Wearing matching custom T-shirts, the group opened the trip by introducing their travel theme. Minhyuk and Hyungwon, who had previously promised to cook for the group, decided to take on the challenge together. Hyungwon boldly declared he would tackle three dishes—prompting immediate skepticism from the others. Joohoney quipped, “He can’t even cook instant noodles!” to which Hyungwon cheekily replied, “One of the dishes is ramen.” The room erupted in laughter again.

Destination: Gapyeong

Through a game-based decision process, the members chose Gapyeong as their travel destination. After filling out travel cards—ranging from transportation choices to activities and accommodation—they began their food journey. They enjoyed a meal at a local restaurant recommended by Hyungwon, who had served in the area during his military service. As tasty dishes rolled out, Joohoney lived up to his lunchtime penalty by also covering lunch for the entire staff.

Sky-High Adventures vs. Grounded Chill Time

Next up, the members split into two teams: Shownu, Kihyun, and Joohoney chose to go paragliding, while Minhyuk and Hyungwon opted to relax with instant coffee and scenic views. Their contrast—thrilling flight versus tranquil break—offered a delightful dual mood for viewers to enjoy.

Flying High and Shouting Love

At the top of the hill, the paragliding team fearlessly launched into the air. The experience left them exhilarated. “This feels amazing! Why didn’t we do this sooner?” they shouted mid-flight. They even expressed their love for fans by yelling “We love you, Monbebe!” from the sky. Meanwhile, Minhyuk and Hyungwon captured the moment below, creating lasting memories.

A Fierce Game Teases the Next Episode

The video wrapped up with the members showing their competitive sides during an intense group game. With laughter and stakes running high, fans were left eager to see what chaos and fun will unfold in the next episode.

What’s Next for MONSTA X?

Mon Eat Do Go airs every Friday at 8:30 PM on MONSTA X’s official YouTube channel. The group also has a major event coming up: from July 18 to 20, they will host their 10th debut anniversary concert ‘2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X’ at KSPO DOME in Seoul.
