A Christmas Wonderland in July
On July 10, K-pop group CLOSE YOUR EYES—comprising Jeon Minwook, Ma Jingxiang, Jang Yeojoon, Kim Seongmin, Song Seungho, Kenshin, and Seo Kyungbae—opened a pop-up store to celebrate the release of their second mini album, Snowy Summer. The pop-up is located in the ICONIC Zone of The Hyundai Seoul’s basement level 2.
Snowfall in the Summer
Designed with the concept of ‘Christmas in July,’ the pop-up dazzles with snowy landscapes, trees, and gift-style displays. The icy yet festive atmosphere stopped passersby in their tracks, offering a cool twist to the summer season.
Global Fans Flock In
Despite opening on a weekday, the event attracted a nonstop stream of enthusiastic fans, many of them from overseas. Visitors to the department store also joined in, creating a lively and crowded space. Organizers are now preparing for even bigger weekend crowds.
Interactive Events and Exclusive Merch
The experience goes beyond sightseeing. Fans can join in challenges like stopping a timer exactly at 7.00 seconds or solving a word search puzzle featuring the group’s name. Successful participants receive special items like autographed Polaroids and random photo cards.
‘Snowy Summer’-themed merchandise—ranging from photo sets and keyrings to T-shirts, candles, cereal bowls, and cold cups—is also available, making the pop-up even more enticing for devoted global fans.
The Group’s Surprise Visit
On July 11, the members themselves visited the venue, leaving their personal touch. From handwritten autographs to hidden messages and palm handprints, they turned parts of the store into an Easter egg hunt, delighting their fans with surprise elements throughout.
A Meteoric Comeback
Snowy Summer, which dropped on July 9, has already made waves—selling over 200,000 albums on the release day. The group also hit No.1 on Korean streaming platform Bugs and ranked in the top ten of iTunes Top K-pop Album charts in five countries, solidifying their rising international influence.
Don’t Miss Out!
The ‘Snowy Summer’ pop-up store runs until Wednesday, July 16 at The Hyundai Seoul’s B2 ICONIC Zone. For fans of CLOSE YOUR EYES, it’s a magical midsummer stop worth visiting.
