K-Pop Idols Shake Up Netizen Awards: Kazuha, Eunha, and Minji Rise

Rising K-pop idols Kazuha from LE SSERAFIM, Eunha from VIVIZ, and Minji from NewJeans are starting to climb in the July Netizen Awards for Best Female Singer, challenging the trot-heavy rankings.

Idols Stir the Trot-Dominated Rankings

As of 9:37 PM on July 20, 2025, the Netizen Awards for Best Female Singer are seeing a shift. While trot (a nostalgically upbeat Korean music genre often compared to country) still dominates the top spots, K-pop idols are quietly turning the tide.

LE SSERAFIM’s Kazuha on the Move

Kazuha from LE SSERAFIM has surged to 12th place with 704 votes (0.9%). Her progress has accelerated since mid-July, thanks to her dedicated fan base. If this momentum continues, she could soon break into the mid to upper rankings.

“Her fans are rallying fast and hard,” one industry watcher noted. “She’s got real momentum.”

VIVIZ’s Eunha: A Late-Game Threat?

Don’t count Eunha from VIVIZ out—she’s currently down at 19th with six votes, but her core fandom remains active. If voters mobilize in the final stretch, a last-minute coup isn’t out of the question.

NewJeans’ Minji: Global Potential in the Wings

In 20th place with just 3 votes, Minji from NewJeans might seem too far down—but this is K-pop, where fanbases stretch across time zones. With massive Gen Z appeal and a strong international following, she’s being dubbed a “hidden superstar” by fans and analysts alike.

“Minji’s influence is bigger than her vote count right now suggests,” said a fan on Twitter. “Just wait.”

Trot Powerhouses Hold for Now

Still leading the pack is trot singer Jung Seoseo with 30,640 votes (41.0%), followed closely by Bin Yeseo (13,545 votes, 18.1%) and My Jin (13,283 votes, 17.8%). The top ranks remain secure—for now.

When Idols & Fans Unite

The July session of the Netizen Awards seems to mark a turning point, where traditional trot strongholds meet the vibrant energy of rising idols. With 10 days left to vote, fan strategy could flip the game entirely. One thing’s for sure: somewhere, a fan is changing the rankings with a single tap.
