Yoo Jun-sang Unveils Emotional New Travel K-Drama

Veteran actor Yoo Jun-sang joined the cast and crew of Channel A’s upcoming drama 'I'll Go On Your Behalf' during a press event, teasing a heartfelt travel-themed healing story based on a Japanese best-selling novel.

Channel A’s Healing Drama Set for August Premiere

Actor Yoo Jun-sang, known for his versatile performances in both hit dramas and musicals, stepped into the spotlight on June 29 at the press conference for Channel A’s new weekend K-drama, ‘I’ll Go On Your Behalf’. The event was held at the Shocking K-Pop Center in Sangam-dong, Seoul.

Originally a Japanese best-seller by author Maha Harada, the story follows a once-forgotten K-pop idol turned travel reporter who fulfills others’ travel dreams on their behalf. Through these ‘proxy journeys,’ he rediscovers what success and life really mean. Mark your calendars—this warm, visually rich drama airs its first episode on August 2.

A Feast for the Eyes—and the Soul

The series promises more than just a tale of redemption. Viewers can look forward to breathtaking cinematography showcasing both local and international travel spots. Think of it as a soul-searching journey wrapped in vacation vibes—perfectly timed for Korea’s sultry summer holiday season.

“You’ll feel like you’re on a vacation from your couch,” teased the production team. From seaside serenity to cultural hidden gems, the destinations featured are as essential to the story as the characters themselves.

A Dream Cast with Real Chemistry

Alongside Yoo Jun-sang, the cast includes rising star Gong Seung-yeon, heartthrob Kim Jae-young, veteran actress Hong Soo-hyun, and up-and-comer Oh Hyun-jung. Each brings their own charm to the ensemble, with plenty of subtle emotional beats and satisfying character arcs promised.

Director Kang Sol, who also attended the press event, spoke of the cast’s synergy: “Every actor poured their heart into creating a drama that feels human at its core.”

Your Next Weekend Retreat?

With its healing narrative, picturesque destinations, and heartfelt performances, ‘I’ll Go On Your Behalf’ is shaping up to be the feel-good drama of the summer. Expect laughter, tears, and maybe even a little wanderlust.
