Park Bo-gum Bids Farewell with Music, Laughter, and a Few Tears
After a five-month symphony of performances, laughter, and soul-stirring moments, ‘The Seasons: Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile’ closes on a high note. The finale, airing June 1 at 11:20 PM KST on KBS 2TV, marks the grand finale of Korea’s first actor-led music talk show, and it comes packed with big stars, bigger emotions, and a few surprises that left fans (and Park Bo-gum himself) misty-eyed.
A Glittering Line-Up to Say Goodbye
This final ‘theme night’ titled ‘Geomyoil-eun Bami Joha’ (‘Fridays Are For Late Nights’) features stellar acts from IU, Kim Bum-soo, Zion.T, and musical talents Park Bo-gum connected with during his stage debut in the 2023 musical Let Me Fly. These include performers like Kim Taehan, Yoon Gongju, and Kim Dobin—his so-called ‘musical family’—who share touching anecdotes and perform together one last time.
When Park Bo-gum Plays, Stars Shine
Kim Bum-soo delivers a sweet medley of his classic hits, backed by Bo-gum himself on piano. The singer couldn’t help but comment, “Leave a little room for imperfections, will you?”—teasing Bo-gum for his effortlessly polished performance. Their surprise duet, sparked by an impromptu request, even saw Bo-gum dipping into soul-style vocals for the first time, leaving Bum-soo to exclaim, “He nails whatever he tries.”
Zion.T and IU Bring Surprise Moves and Emotional Moments
Zion.T pulls an ace from his sleeve with a brand-new track prepared just for the finale. He even gets Bo-gum to strike cheeky poses mid-song, proving their chemistry isn’t just for show. At the end, Zion.T gives the host a warm hug, saying, “You’re truly the best.”
But the night belonged to IU, who appears unexpectedly with flowers in hand, saying, “I had to keep my promise for the final episode.” The surprise leaves Bo-gum wiping away tears, prompting fans in the audience to chant, “Don’t cry!”
A Duet to Remember—and One Last Note
IU and Park Bo-gum round off the night with exclusive duet performances that fans won’t see anywhere else. IU then shifts gears, turning interviewer and guiding Bo-gum through a heartfelt look-back on his journey—awkward bloopers, proud moments, and all.
To cap things off, a surprise video montage featuring BTS’s V and other participating artists played, while fans sent in letters that showed just how much this late-night show has come to mean.
Bonus Track for Fans: New Song Drop
Just before the final episode airs, Park Bo-gum’s new song “Orumakgil (Uphill Road)” featuring Yoon Jong-shin will be available on streaming services starting June 1 at 6 PM KST. A perfect send-off for a series that hit all the right notes.
