MADE IN S’s Miyu Heads to Japan for 2025 Kansai Runway

Miyu, a member of MADE IN S's debut unit, heads to Japan for the 2025 Kansai Collection ahead of their official debut on August 14.

Miyu Turns the Airport Into a Runway

MADE IN S member Miyu was spotted at Seoul Gimpo Airport on August 5, catching a flight to Japan to attend the Kansai Collection 2025 A/W—one of Japan’s biggest fashion and music events. The event draws top models, artists, and fans each season, and Miyu is stepping into the spotlight just ahead of her group’s official debut.

Meet MADE IN S: A Fully Japanese K-pop Unit

MADE IN S (stylized as “MADE IN S”) is the first subunit of rookie girl group MADE IN and is made up entirely of Japanese members—Mashiro, Miyu, Serina, and Nagomi. With their debut set for August 14, anticipation is high for the group to bridge the K-pop and J-pop worlds.

While much of K-pop continues expanding globally, groups like MADE IN S showcase cross-cultural synergy from day one. All four members have already attracted attention in Japan—not just for their visuals, but also for their synchronized performances and multilingual skills.

A Debut with International Hype

There’s buzz that MADE IN S may cater to audiences in both Korea and Japan, similar to how groups like TWICE and XG gained popularity with dual-language releases. Their debut comes at a time when Japanese talent is increasingly carving space in K-pop, reshaping the scene into something even more global.

Fans at the airport were already cheering Miyu on, holding banners and taking photos. “She’s already a full-blown star before debut,” wrote one excited fan on social media.

With her Kansai Collection appearance and MADE IN S’s upcoming debut, Miyu seems ready to bring Japanese elegance to K-pop’s high-energy stage. And judging by the early buzz—they’re not just MADE IN S, they’re made for the spotlight.
