Jung Ilwoo and Jung Inseon Shine at ‘Glorious Days’ Drama Launch

Actors Jung Ilwoo and Jung Inseon headline the new weekend K-drama 'Glorious Days,' premiering July 9 on KBS2.

Weekend Primetime Just Got a Lot More Glorious

On July 6, the press gathered at The Saint Grand Ballroom in Sindorim, Seoul, where actors Jung Ilwoo and Jung Inseon introduced their upcoming KBS2 weekend drama ‘Glorious Days’ (Korean title: Hwaryeohan Naldeul).

A K-Drama Rooted in Generational Nostalgia

‘Glorious Days’ dives into the idea that everyone experiences a “glorious” time in their lives—whether it’s in youth, the present, or an imagined future. With themes of nostalgia, family, and love, the 50-episode series aims to tug at heartstrings across all age groups.

Jung Ilwoo, best known for Moon Embracing the Sun and Sweet Munchies, plays the male lead, while Jung Inseon, beloved for Waikiki and He Is Psychometric, co-stars. The cast also includes acting heavyweights like Chun Hojin, Lee Taeran, and rising stars Park Jungyeon and Son Sangyeon.

Behind the Scenes of ‘Glorious Days’

Director Kim Hyungseok explained that the story is “a celebration of life’s brightest moments through the lens of contrasting generations.” Expect emotional twists and plenty of comforting weekend drama feels—think of it as Korea’s answer to a modern-day This Is Us.

The show will air every Saturday and Sunday at 8PM KST, starting July 9.

Fan Anticipation Is Already High

The internet is buzzing with excitement. One online fan gushed, “Jung Ilwoo in a weekend drama? Inject that into my veins!” Another commenter noted, “KBS weekend dramas never miss, and this cast is full of scene-stealers.”
