TWICE Breaks More Records on Billboard, Teases Chaeyoung’s Solo Debut

TWICE continues their global domination with record-breaking Billboard success, a new Japanese album pre-release, and an upcoming solo debut from Chaeyoung.

TWICE Climbs the Billboard Hot 100 Again—Twice

If you blinked, you might’ve missed TWICE charting—again.

According to Billboard’s official update on August 19 (local time), TWICE’s latest single ‘Strategy’ soared to No. 62 on the Billboard Hot 100. Not to be outdone, the vocal trio of Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung also scored big with ‘TAKEDOWN’, reaching No. 60. That makes two tracks climbing the charts simultaneously—proof that the K-pop powerhouse is still gaining momentum.

Both songs have been on an impressive four-week reverse run on the Hot 100, and they’re killing it on Spotify U.S. too. On the August 17 chart, ‘Strategy’ landed at No. 38, while ‘TAKEDOWN’ came in at No. 30.

A 10th Anniversary Year Packed with Power Moves

Ten years in the game, and TWICE is only getting louder. Their fourth full-length album ‘THIS IS FOR’, released earlier this year, has fueled a world tour of the same name.

Recently, the group made headlines as a headliner at Lollapalooza Chicago—becoming one of the few K-pop acts to top the bill at a major U.S. festival. And if that wasn’t enough, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung also contributed to the soundtrack of Netflix’s upcoming animated feature ‘K-pop Demon Hunters’, blending vocal firepower with anime hype.

TWICE Drops Emotional Pre-Release for Japanese Comeback

On August 20 at midnight (JST), TWICE released ‘Like 1’, a pre-release track from their upcoming sixth Japanese album, ‘ENEMY’, dropping August 27. It’s got big names behind it—Jihyo wrote the lyrics, while Japan’s rock monolith ONE OK ROCK handled composition duties.

The emotionally driven track explores the concept of fleeting time vs. timeless memories, all layered over a refreshingly high-energy band sound. The animated music video, released alongside the track, tells the bittersweet tale of saying goodbye to an imaginary childhood friend. Yeah, expect emotions.

Chaeyoung to Debut as TWICE’s Fourth Solo Act

Mark your calendars—September 12 at 1 PM KST, to be exact. That’s when Chaeyoung officially kicks off her solo career with her first full-length album, ‘LIL FANTASY vol.1’. She’s now the fourth TWICE member to go solo, following Nayeon, Jihyo, and Tzuyu.

If you know Chaeyoung, you know her vibe is unlike anyone else’s in TWICE. Expect bold visuals, unexpected sounds, and a creative concept fans are already buzzing about.

The Era of TWICE Isn’t Over—It’s Evolving

Between Billboard upsets, Japanese chart chasers, and solo chapters, TWICE is keeping fans on their toes and playlists full. Their ability to stay fresh after a decade speaks for their global grip on pop culture. So what’s next?

Only time—and probably another chart record—will tell.
