NEWBEAT Set the Stage Ablaze with ‘Cappuccino’ at K-WORLD Awards

Rookie boy group NEWBEAT makes their first-ever awards show appearance at the 2025 K-WORLD DREAM AWARDS, delivering a buzzworthy performance of their surprise single 'Cappuccino.'

NEWBEAT’s Big Awards Show Debut

Rising rookie group NEWBEAT just hit a career milestone. On July 21, the seven-member Korean boy band made their first appearance at an awards ceremony during the 2025 K-WORLD DREAM AWARDS, held at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.

Fan-Fueled Performance of ‘Cappuccino’

Pulling no punches, NEWBEAT delivered a bold performance of their latest release, ‘Cappuccino’, a surprise digital single dropped for their fans. This song continues the shared universe of their pre-release track ‘JeLLo (Himsumjjin)’—a Korean slang-inspired title meaning “quietly powerful.”

‘Cappuccino’ brings an old-school vibe, layered with heavy beats and an undeniably addictive rap flow. The group initially debuted the track live at KCON LA 2025, where it instantly won over the crowd.

Who Are NEWBEAT?

In case you missed their explosive debut, NEWBEAT is a seven-member all-Korean boy group, consisting of Park Minseok (from Boys Planet), former TO1 member Jeon Yeojeong, Hong Minseong, Choi Seohyun, Kim Taeyang, Jo Yunhoo, and Kim Riu. Before dropping their first official album, they had already sparked global buzz through busking tours and sneak-peek releases.

They officially debuted in March with their full-length album ‘RAW AND RAD’, promoting through shows like Mnet’s Drop the NEWBEAT and SBS’s Himsumjjin Lab.

Building a Global Fanbase

NEWBEAT hasn’t slowed down since. Their post-debut schedule has been packed with key performances at major events like 2025 LOVESOME Festival, the Seoul Wonder Show, KCON JAPAN 2025, and MyK FESTA. With a confident blend of energetic visuals and versatile sounds, the septet is carving out a space in the next-gen K-pop scene.

What’s Next for NEWBEAT?

While they’ve stolen the spotlight at one of Korea’s biggest Hallyu award shows, NEWBEAT isn’t taking a break. They’re currently in album production mode, gearing up for a comeback in the second half of the year. And if ‘Cappuccino’ is any hint, it’s going to be a shot of pure adrenaline.

Watch this space—NEWBEAT’s rise is just warming up.
