TWICE, one of the top K-pop girl groups, has been announced as a headliner for the upcoming Lollapalooza Chicago festival, set to take place from July 31 to August 3 at Grant Park. Lollapalooza, known as one of the world’s premier music festivals, attracts massive music fans every year, and TWICE’s participation highlights K-pop’s growing global stature.
On March 18, Lollapalooza’s official social media channels unveiled the full artist lineup, confirming TWICE as one of the headliners. Taking on a stage with an average daily audience of 115,000, the group is expected to captivate fans with their signature energy and dynamic performances. Originally established in Chicago in 1991, Lollapalooza has since evolved into a global event, with editions held in France, Germany, Chile, Brazil, and other countries.
TWICE has already solidified their reputation as a ‘stadium artist.’ Last year, they became the first international female act to hold a solo concert at Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa, Japan, and successfully completed their fifth world tour, ‘READY TO BE,’ drawing a total of 1.5 million attendees across 27 regions. Additionally, in November, they became the first K-pop artist to perform for ‘Amazon Music Live,’ setting a record for the most viewers in the event’s history.
Building on this momentum, TWICE is also set to perform as a special guest for Coldplay’s ‘Music Of The Spheres World Tour’ concert in April at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. Their participation in this major event further cements their presence in the international music scene.
