Dragon Pony, the up-and-coming K-band consisting of members Pyeon Sung-hyun, Kwon Se-hyuk, Ahn Tae-gyu, and Go Kang-hoon, marked their return after six months with the release of their second EP, ‘Not Out,’ on the 19th. The band held a showcase at Yes24 Wonder Rock Hall in Sinchon, Seoul, to celebrate this momentous occasion.
The title track, ‘Not Out,’ takes inspiration from a baseball term where a batter, despite facing a three-strike situation, can still remain in play under specific conditions. The song carries a message of hope and perseverance, emphasizing that even in uncertain and challenging times, pushing forward is meaningful in itself. With a delicate balance of instruments and an immersive lyrical journey, the track combines an evocative atmosphere with soaring energy.
This EP reflects the personal experiences of each member, honestly portraying their struggles and growth through the turbulent times of youth. Dragon Pony uses this album to highlight the beauty in imperfection while delivering an electrifying energy to their audience.
Fans can stream ‘Not Out’ on various online music platforms starting from June 19 at 6 PM KST.
