South Korean K-pop sensation TWICE’s Jihyo has stepped up to support wildfire recovery efforts in the Yeongnam region. On March 26, she donated 50 million KRW (approximately $37,000) through the Community Chest of Korea, aiming to assist victims and aid relief efforts.

In a statement released through JYP Entertainment, Jihyo shared her heartfelt concern: ‘I hope those affected by the wildfire recover as soon as possible, and I sincerely appreciate those working tirelessly at the scene.’ Her words resonated with many, offering comfort to both victims and frontline responders.

Jihyo has a history of giving back. In February 2023, she and fellow TWICE members collectively donated 200 million KRW to help children and families affected by earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria. Her continued acts of generosity highlight her deep compassion and commitment to social responsibility.

Meanwhile, TWICE continues to expand their global influence. They are set to appear as special guests at Coldplay’s Seoul concert in April, release their best-of album ‘#TWICE5’ in Japan on May 14, and headline the massive Lollapalooza Chicago festival on August 2.

Beyond their music, TWICE consistently spreads positive messages through philanthropy. Jihyo’s latest donation is another testament to her warmth and dedication, proving that idols can make a real difference in society.
