K-pop girl group UNIS transforms into stylish students in their latest concept photos
UNIS (Jinhyeonju, Nana, Jellydanka, Kotoko, Bang Yoonha, Elisia, Oh Yoona, and Lim Seowon) has kicked off the countdown for their second mini-album, ‘SWICY’, by unveiling the first concept photos titled Archive on June 1 at midnight through their official social media channels.
A high-teen twist on classic school uniforms
In the newly released photos, UNIS members are dressed in creatively styled school uniforms with a modern twist—a navy base with eye-catching red neckties, exuding youthful energy and individuality. The set includes 13 different images featuring individual, unit, and full-group shots, highlighting the group’s signature charm.
Members Jinhyeonju, Nana, and Jellydanka stood out in their personal cuts, each using familiar school locations like staircases, classrooms, and hallways to portray distinct teenage moods and stories. Their visuals, combined with the moody, cinematic atmosphere, captivated fans instantly.
‘SWICY’: A unique blend of sweet and spicy
UNIS cleverly plays with the coined term ‘SWICY’—a fusion of ‘spicy’ and ‘sweet’—to express the contrasting emotions and experiences of school life. Through this concept, the group creates a narrative that reflects the highs and lows of adolescence, from innocent excitement to emotional depth.
The photos also include a refreshing unit shot, where the trio leans against a wall while gazing off thoughtfully, enhancing the dreamy, nostalgic tone of this school-themed comeback.
Three concept versions to collect
Fans have more to look forward to as pre-orders for ‘SWICY’ begin at noon on June 1 through multiple online music retailers. The album will be released in three versions—Archive, Recipe, and Keyring.
