On April 12, Seo Yeji took the stage as host on Coupang Play’s comedy show ‘SNL Korea’ Season 7, Episode 2. In her first-ever attempt at comedy, Seo stunned viewers with her fearless comedic timing and a diverse range of character transformations.
From AI Robot to Enchanting Salon Owner
In a standout skit, Seo Yeji portrayed an AI robot named ‘SeoYeGPT’, a character hilariously summoned by customer Kim Wonhoon. Capturing the robotic monotone and emotionless expressions with eerie precision, Seo nailed the parody of AI-powered chatbots. The sketch escalated into a face-off with rival bot ‘DeepSikBot’, played by Lee Suji, with laugh-out-loud moments ranging from cute dances to over-the-top charm battles.
Later, Seo transformed into a seductive salon owner with the power to open even the tightest wallets. From convincing customers to splurge on luxurious treatments to improvising a ridiculous chant—“Sellelelelel!”—to throw suspicion off her schemes, Seo showcased her ability to commit fully to the bit.

SNL Korea’s signature satire and the addition of energetic rookie cast members Cha Kyung-eun, Jo Min-kyung, and Momoko Arata added extra flavor to the episode. But it was Seo Yeji’s emotional depth and comedic fearlessness that truly stole the show. In a romantic scene with veteran host Shin Dongyeob, she seamlessly shifted into a shy, soft-spoken woman, proving her range as an actress.
