UNIS Showcases ‘SWICY’ at Media Event
On April 15, K-pop girl group UNIS held a media showcase at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul to celebrate the release of their second mini album ‘SWICY’. The group performed their new title track ‘SWICY’, capturing attention with their lively energy and colorful concept.
‘SWICY’: Sweet Meets Spicy
The album title ‘SWICY’ is a clever blend of the words “Sweet” and “Spicy”, symbolizing the group’s dual appeal. Reflecting global Gen Z trends that embrace a mix of soft and bold styles, UNIS delivers this ‘sweet and spicy’ combination through catchy tracks and youthful visuals.
The mini album contains five tracks including the title song ‘SWICY’, as well as ‘뭐해?라는 씨앗에서’, ‘땡! (DDANG!)’, ‘Good Feeling’, and ‘봄비’ (Spring Rain). Each song showcases the individuality and vibrant “maepdal” (a play on sweet and spicy) charms of the eight members.

The title track ‘SWICY’ stands out with its bright rhythm, arcade-inspired sound effects, and fun, catchy lyrics. The song likens the unique personalities of the members to flavorful dishes, creating a playful metaphor that accentuates the group’s spirited identity.
