🎁 Birthday with a Bigger Purpose
While most idols celebrate their birthdays with cake and fan events, Stray Kids’ Han decided to do something that really counts. On September 14, Han marked his special day by donating a staggering ₩100 million KRW (about $75,000 USD) to Samsung Seoul Hospital.
According to JYP Entertainment, Han’s donation will be split evenly between adult patients with severe illnesses and pediatric care for children and teens. That’s ₩50 million each, designated to ease healthcare costs for those who need it most.
💬 “To Bring Strength and Courage”
In a heartfelt statement, Han shared his motivation: “I’m so thankful to my fans for letting me spend this birthday doing something meaningful. I hope this gift offers strength and courage where it’s most needed.”
This isn’t Han’s first act of generosity. Back in April, Stray Kids donated a combined ₩800 million (about $600,000 USD) to support wildfire relief efforts in Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Gyeongbuk. The donations were split between the Korea Disaster Relief Association and World Vision.
📈 Celebrated with Charts—and Charity
Beyond philanthropy, Stray Kids are also making headlines musically. Their latest album, KARMA, is rewriting history—holding onto the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200 for an impressive seven straight weeks. That’s not just good karma, it’s chart karma.
Han’s birthday move proves once again that idols can be role models both on and off stage. And fans? They’re cheering with their hearts (and on Twitter).
❤️ The Takeaway?
Han knows that real impact goes beyond music charts. As he turns a year older, he’s turning his spotlight into a beacon for those battling illness. Now that’s a birthday glow-up we can all get behind.
