BOYNEXTDOOR made history as the first Korean act to perform at the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship opening ceremony, delivering a fiery show in front of thousands in Manila.

BOYNEXTDOOR Takes the Global Stage in Manila

K-pop rookie group BOYNEXTDOOR just hit an international milestone by performing at the opening ceremony of the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship in Manila, Philippines. On September 12, the six-member group rocked the SM Mall of Asia Arena, becoming the first-ever Korean artists to step into the global ambassador spotlight for the FIVB.

Fans Went Wild—Before the First Beat Dropped

From the moment the group’s name lit up on the stadium screens, the crowd lost it. Fans waved official lightsticks and homemade signs while breaking into the chorus of “Earth, Wind & Fire” from the group’s second mini-album HOW?—even before the boys took the stage. That’s what you call star power.

A Power-Packed Setlist

BOYNEXTDOOR’s set was short but fierce, stacking hits from their 3rd and 4th EPs. They kicked things off with the feel-good anthem “I Feel Good” from No Genre, followed by “Nice Guy” from 19.99. Choreography? Sharp. Vocals? On point. Fans? Screaming.

But the real game-changer? Their debut digital single, “I LOVE YOU, Just for Today,” and their crowd-favorite “Earth, Wind & Fire.” Things got so hyped that fans stood up, danced along, and sang their hearts out. Manila became one massive BOYNEXTDOOR flashmob.

Passion, Unity, and a Whole Lot of Volleyball Vibes

In a heartfelt speech, the members said, “We’re honored to share our music in a space filled with so much passion and challenge. It’s an unforgettable moment.”

They also dropped a perfect metaphor: “Just like a volleyball team runs on timing and trust, we rely on each other to complete our performance. Whether on the court or on stage, passion is everything.” Mic drop.

Comeback Teasers on the Horizon

BOYNEXTDOOR isn’t slowing down anytime soon. With a comeback scheduled for October, the group is preparing to level up once again. Each release has outdone the last, making their next era something fans—and the industry—are watching closely.

Will BOYNEXTDOOR spike their way to the top again? October can’t come soon enough.
