A Birthday Gift with Global Impact

Instead of birthday balloons and cake, Felix of Stray Kids chose to celebrate with a show of heartfelt generosity. On his birthday (September 15), the idol donated a whopping 200 million KRW — that’s around $150,000 — to support children in need across the globe.

Where the Money Went

  • Samsung Seoul Hospital: 100 million KRW went to help cover treatment costs for pediatric and adolescent patients.
  • UNICEF & World Vision: Each received 50 million KRW to fund essential global initiatives — like providing clean water and family care resources.

Felix shared, “Thanks to the unwavering love from our fans, I’m able to take part in creating a brighter future for children in Korea and beyond. I hope every child can grow up dreaming freely.”

Giving Back, Year After Year

This isn’t his first act of kindness. Felix also made sizable donations last year on his birthday, showing this is more than a one-time gesture — it’s a tradition in the making.

His humanitarian track record includes:

  • Donating a total of 150 million KRW to UNICEF for children in Laos affected by food and clean water shortages — even visiting the site himself to meet with local kids.
  • Sending aid to earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria (2023), fire recovery efforts in South Korea (planned 2025), and supporting domestic child welfare programs (2024).

Stray Kids Take the Stage Again

If that wasn’t enough excitement for STAYs (Stray Kids’ fanbase), the group is also wrapping up their massive Stray Kids World Tour: dominATE : celebrATE with encore stadium shows in Incheon this October. After traveling across 34 regions and performing 54 concerts, they’re coming home for a party with their biggest fans.

The Bigger Picture

Felix’s donation isn’t just a kind gesture — it’s a reminder of how K-pop idols often blur the line between pop stardom and real-world impact. With his actions, Felix continues to prove that his heart is as big as his fanbase.

Could this spark a new tradition among idols — birthday philanthropy? Only time (and next year’s b-days) will tell.
