KickFlip Drops Final Concept Film Ahead of New Album
Up-and-coming K-pop group KickFlip is flipping expectations—literally. The seven-member rookie sensation just unveiled their final concept teasers for their third mini album, My First Flip, ahead of its highly-anticipated release on September 22 at 6 PM KST.
New Band Concept: More Strings, More Style
This round, KickFlip is switching gears from dance-heavy pop to an energetic band-style performance. In their newly released concept film, members Gehun, Amar, Donghwa, Juwan, Minjae, Keiju, and Donghyun are seen jamming live on stage—until a comical tech mishap forces them to cut the show short. Cue fan squeals and meme fodder.
The group also dropped unit and group photos showing off a casual, rock-star vibe with real instruments in hand—guitar, bass, and keyboard included. Think School of Rock, but with better hair and flawless visuals.
Title Track Sneak Peek: ‘My First Love Song’
K-pop fans were treated to a preview of the title track, ‘My First Love Song’, woven into the teaser. With its breezy, band-driven sound, the track evokes all the awkward charm of a first crush. Interestingly, the album’s title is a playful twist on innocent romance: Swap the “love” in My First Love with “flip” and you’ve got My First Flip.
Behind the Scenes: Member-Created Album
Don’t let the rookie label fool you—shoutout to youngest member Donghyun, who took part in writing the title track. In fact, all seven members flexed their creative muscles by participating in the album’s production, making this their most self-driven project to date.
Big Comeback Plans
Mark your calendars: KickFlip will hit the comeback stage with a double feature on September 22. First up, a Mnet M2 comeback broadcast at 7 PM KST, followed by their official showcase at 8 PM. Expect visuals, live vocals, and at least one accidental mic drop.
The Flip Side of Rookie Stardom
With My First Flip, KickFlip isn’t just coming back—they’re leveling up. From self-composed tracks to a reinvented image, the group is poised to break out of the rookie box and into the K-pop big leagues.
So—are you ready for the flip?
