Choo Young Woo Wows Fans With K-pop Dance and Sweet Vocals

K-drama heartthrob Choo Young Woo kicked off his first-ever fan meeting tour in Seoul, blending musical theater vocals, K-pop dance moves, and heartfelt fan service—all in one unforgettable night.

The Actor’s First Fan Meeting Was a Full-On Show

K-drama darling Choo Young Woo just proved he’s more than just a pretty face. On April 6th, the actor held his debut solo fan meeting, Who is Choo?, at KBS Arena in Seoul as the opening stop of his 2025 Asia Fanmeeting Tour.

The tickets? Sold out within a day—because of course they did.

A Night of Nostalgia, Music, and Unexpected Talent

Choo, best known for roles like Jung Seung-hwi in Secret Royal Inspector & Joy, kicked off the event with a touching live performance of his drama OST “Gyeonjeong Love Song.” Fully dressed in hanbok (traditional Korean clothing), he recreated the emotional atmosphere of the series—a moment that had fans cheering and tearing up in equal measure.

The night wasn’t just sentimental. It was packed with variety show-style segments including a recap of his acting journey in “The Choo Chronicles” and a hilarious role-play corner where he transformed into Yang Jae-won from Netflix’s Code of Karma.

Dancing Like a True K-pop Idol

One of the biggest surprises? Choo’s slick dance moves. He slayed a medley of K-pop hits including Stray Kids’ “S-Class,” the musical number “She Was There” from The Scarlet Pimpernel, and even “WICKED” from the ALLDAY PROJECT. He didn’t stop there—he took live song requests from fans, turning the evening into a three-hour interactive concert.

Fans, affectionately called “Fuchoo” (a mashup of “fan” and “Choo”), couldn’t get enough. Many were thrilled to see this lesser-known side of the actor: “He could totally go idol if he wanted,” one fan joked on social media.

Pulling Heartstrings With a Surprise Debut

In the biggest mic-drop moment of the night, Choo revealed his digital single “If Time Stops,” released that very day. The emotional ballad stunned fans with its raw sincerity and impressive range—cementing him as a true multi-hyphenate in the making.

He wrapped things up with Roy Kim’s “The Lullaby,” locking eyes with fans and ending the event with a soft, warm goodbye. He later held a brief hi-touch session, personally thanking the crowd for filling the room with love and support.

The Start of a Bigger Journey

“This was the happiest moment since I became an actor,” Choo said, voice trembling with emotion. “I was nervous, but Fuchoo made everything better. I promise to keep working hard to become not just a better actor, but a better person,” he added.

The Seoul fan meeting is only the beginning. Choo is set to meet fans across Asia—with stops scheduled in Bangkok, Taipei, Osaka, and Tokyo. So if you missed him this time, don’t worry—“Choo” might be coming to a city near you.
