The Final Countdown to Debut
After 10 intense episodes and jaw-dropping performances, BOYS II PLANET has officially named its 16 finalists. The show’s fourth global voting round drew an eye-popping 32,520,432 votes from fans across 213 countries and regions. With just one week until debut, viewers now turn their eyes to the final performances that will determine the lineup of this next-gen boy group.
Lee Sangwon Ranks First—Again
In an episode aired on the 18th in Korea, Lee Sangwon reaffirmed his “unshakable” status, topping the rankings with 8.28 million points—never once dropping below first. Joining him in the top tier are Zhou Anxin (2nd), Lee Rio (3rd), and rising stars like Kim Geonu (4th), Zhang Jihao (5th), and He Xinlong (6th). The top 8 also includes Kim Junseo (7th) and Jung Sanghyun (8th), all charging toward debut.
Surprises, Underdogs, and Global Fan Power
Every great survival show needs a plot twist, and Park Dongkyu delivered. Once ranked 24th—the edge of elimination—he soared 10 spots to 14th. Similarly, Zhang Jihao entered the coveted top 8 for the first time. YUMEKI (9th), Jung Ijeong (15th), and Kang Woojin (16th) also snagged golden tickets to the finale.
“We’ll go all out for this last stage,” a finalist vowed, as trainees expressed thanks to fans—aka “Star Creators”—and committed to performing for eliminated peers too. Cue the tissues.
New Songs, New Teams, and the ‘Killing Part’
For their ultimate mission, the 16 trainees split into two 8-member teams and will showcase two fresh tracks. Team “Brat Attitude”—a fierce mix of hip-hop and EDM—channels the defiant energy of forging one’s own path. Performing it are Chen Kaiwen, Park Dongkyu, Choi Ryb, Kim Junseo, Zhang Jihao, He Xinlong, Jung Sanghyun, and YUMEKI.
Meanwhile, “Never Been 2 Heaven” brings feel-good funk and sweet vocals, capturing the glow of youth. This lineup features Zhou Anxin, Lee Rio, Lee Sangwon, Kim Geonu, Jung Ijeong, Kang Woojin, Yoo Kangmin, and Kim Junmin.
Fan Votes Decide the Spotlight
The race for each team’s “killing part”—the center spotlight—heats up too. Trainees voted for candidates, selecting YUMEKI and Zhang Jihao, along with Yoo Kangmin and Zhou Anxin. Now it’s up to fans to make the final call via Mnet Plus. Voting for the killing part ends June 19 at 10AM KST.
Mark Your Calendar: The Grand Finale
It all comes down to the final live broadcast on June 25 at 8PM KST. Over 3,500 Star Creators will join in person to witness the birth of a new K-pop group. Only one vote per fan counts. Only a handful of trainees will debut. And only one name will top the charts. Ready?
