Former BIGBANG member V.I—also known as Seungri—has reappeared online, and fans (and critics) are once again buzzing. A recent photo showing V.I smiling beside a business figure in Malaysia went viral this week, largely due to his noticeably fuller face and casual demeanor.
The man alongside him reportedly runs a luxury jewelry brand in Malaysia, sparking speculation about V.I’s potential business ties. However, this isn’t the first time the disgraced idol has popped back into the public eye since his release from prison.

V.I bowed out of the K-pop world after becoming a central figure in the infamous Burning Sun scandal in 2019—a case that involved allegations of illegal prostitution, assault, embezzlement, and illegal gambling. He was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison and was released in February 2023.
