CRAVITY Delivers Laughs and Charm on ‘Weekly Idol’

K-pop boy group CRAVITY showcased their variety show talents and strong chemistry on the latest episode of 'Weekly Idol'.

CRAVITY Shines with Variety Skills on ‘Weekly Idol’

K-pop boy group CRAVITY (Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung, and Seongmin) recently impressed fans with their wit and teamwork during their guest appearance on MBC M and MBC Every1’s Weekly Idol on June 27.

Trying Their Hand at Hosting

The group took part in the show’s segment “Fan-cake”, where they auditioned for a temporary MC role. Split into two teams, the members were evaluated by current hosts Minhyuk (MONSTA X) and Hyeongjun on various tasks including introducing themselves, sharing their MBTI types, and showcasing special talents.

Minhee amused both the hosts and viewers with a bold strategy—doing nothing at all—with complete confidence. In contrast, Jungmo made a big impression by nailing a complex acrostic poem and openly sharing his ideal type, earning high scores for his quick wit.

Electrifying Performance and Dance Challenge

CRAVITY also performed their new title track “SET NET GO?!” from their recently released second full-length album Dare to Crave. The upbeat rhythm and tight choreography captured both the studio and home audiences.

Following the performance, the members tackled the “Switch Random Color Dance” segment. Amid confusion and hearty laughter—especially during a surprise 1.5x speed twist—they failed to claim the promised fried chicken, but won viewers’ affection with their teamwork and humor.

Heart-to-Heart with Fans

During the second half, CRAVITY connected with 100 fans (known as LUVITY) for a live talk session. As day’s special MC, Jungmo led a balanced debate to see how synced the members and their fans were on random but revealing topics.

When asked to choose between “Serim surviving only on half meals” or “Hyeongjun never shedding a tear,” the majority picked the latter as scarier. Hyeongjun responded with touching humor: “Then I’ll shed some happy tears instead.”

Later, fans humorously objected to a ‘topless anniversary photo shoot’ concept for CRAVITY’s 10th debut anniversary, showing they were more interested in the group’s camaraderie than flashy promises.

A Live Surprise and Final Thoughts

Near the end, the group surprised fans with the first-ever live performance of their B-side track “Underdog”—delivering powerful vocals and meaningful emotion that left a lasting impact.

After the show, CRAVITY shared, “It was fun and comfortable being able to interact with Minhyuk hyung, LUVITY, and the members. We really had a great time.”

The group continues promoting their new album on music shows like Show! Music Core and through various content.
