Lim Youngwoong Climbs Billboard Global Chart with ‘Eternal Moment’

K-trot sensation Lim Youngwoong has re-entered the Billboard Global chart with his latest title track, cementing his status as a crossover star with growing global reach.

Lim Youngwoong Hits Billboard Again

Korea’s beloved ballad-trot hybrid singer Lim Youngwoong is back in the global spotlight. His latest title track, ‘Eternal Moment’, from his second full-length album, has surged to No. 175 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, jumping 16 spots from last week’s No. 191.

Global Appeal, One Song at a Time

The Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.) chart ranks songs based on streaming and digital sales across more than 200 regions worldwide. Not exactly a place you’d expect a Korean trot-pop singer to dominate—but Lim’s been breaking that mold. It’s his sixth time landing on the chart, previously entering with hits like ‘Grain of Sand’ (No. 102), ‘Do or Die’ (No. 96), and ‘Warmth’ (No. 161).

Making Moves on Korean Music Shows

If Billboard wasn’t proof enough that Lim is on a roll, his packed schedule should do the trick. He performed back-to-back on major Korean music shows, including MBC’s Show! Music Core and SBS’s Inkigayo last weekend. Fans can also catch him next on Mnet’s M Countdown (April 18) and KBS2’s Music Bank (April 19).

A New Voice for K-pop’s Global Identity?

Lim’s success story is especially notable since he operates outside the traditional K-pop idol blueprint. Instead of synchronized choreography and EDM drops, his brand—romantic ballads with a modern trot twist—is winning hearts domestically and attracting international interest.

“He’s not just singing, he’s storytelling,” one fan commented online. “Even if you don’t know Korean, you feel the emotion.”

Fans Rally for Netizen Awards

His global buzz might just give him a boost at home too. As of April 24 at 6:08 PM KST, Lim ranked 19th in the Netizen Awards’ Best Male Singer category with 151 votes. Will international support help him climb further? Fans are certainly clicking with purpose.

What’s Next for Korea’s Gentle King?

Whether he’s serenading fans on Korean TV or placing on Billboard, Lim Youngwoong continues to redefine what it means to be a charting Korean artist. One thing’s for sure: he’s not just having a moment—he’s becoming a movement.

Watch this space. Lim Youngwoong’s just getting started.
