BABYMONSTER Hits 300M Views With ‘DRIP’ MV Ahead of Comeback

BABYMONSTER’s smash hit 'DRIP' just hit 300 million views on YouTube—as the rookie girl group gears up for an explosive comeback with their second mini-album, 'WE GO UP'.

Rising to the Top—One Billion View at a Time

Less than a year since it dropped, BABYMONSTER’s edgy hit “DRIP” has joined the elite 300 million club on YouTube. According to YG Entertainment, the bold, fashion-forward music video surpassed the milestone at 2:58 AM on September 28, clocking in just 331 days after its November 1, 2023 release.

‘DRIP’ Was Always Destined for Icon Status

The MV lit up the internet immediately after launch, becoming the most viewed video globally within 24 hours of its release. It then spent 19 straight days on YouTube’s global daily chart and passed the coveted 100 million mark in just 21 days. No small feat for a rookie group.

The track also left its mark on global charts, landing at No. 16 on Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and No. 30 on the Billboard Global 200—personal bests for the group. Global fans clearly couldn’t get enough of BABYMONSTER’s confident swagger and addictive beat.

Three Videos Over 300 Million Views—and Counting

“DRIP” is now BABYMONSTER’s third video to hit 300 million views, following their pre-debut track “BATTER UP” and the fan favorite “SHEESH,” the record-breaking debut single that rewrote K-pop girl group history for the fastest path to 300 million 👑.

If you’re keeping count, BABYMONSTER currently holds 11 videos with over 100 million views, and their channel has racked up a stunning 5.6 billion total views. Oh, and they became the fastest K-pop girl group ever to surpass 10 million subscribers. In just 17 months. No pressure.

Next Stop: ‘WE GO UP’

Mark your calendar: BABYMONSTER returns on October 10 (October 11 in Japan) with their second mini-album “WE GO UP.” The album packs four tracks with punch, including the hip hop-heavy title track, the bold “PSYCHO,” emotional slow burn “SUPA DUP A LUV”, and the genre-bending country-dance closer “WILD.”

Looks like the ‘monsters’ of next-gen K-pop are nowhere near done climbing. Is a billion-view banger next?
