Hwang Youngwoong Keeps His Crown: 16 Months at No. 1

Hwang Youngwoong continues his 16-month reign at the top of the Netizen Awards for male artists, but rising stars like Son Bina and Son Taejin are closing the gap.

Hwang Youngwoong Leads the Pack—Again

Hwang Youngwoong is riding an unstoppable wave. For the 16th month in a row, he’s clinched the top spot in the Netizen Awards for Favorite Male Artist with a commanding 38.9% of the votes—clocking in at 79,511.

While the margin has slightly narrowed compared to August, Hwang is still comfortably ahead of the competition. His continued dominance speaks volumes about the loyalty of his fanbase and their well-oiled voting strategy. This isn’t just a win—it’s a fortress built on fandom.

Meet the Runner-Up Who Shook the Rankings: Son Bina

September brought a surprise twist: Son Bina surged to second place with 21,386 votes (10.5%). After months of quietly gathering support in the mid-tier ranks, he made his big move—proof that consistent effort does pay off.

Right behind him is August’s runner-up, Son Taejin, who now sits at third with 19,643 votes (9.6%). The slim gap of less than 1,800 votes sets the stage for an October showdown between the two.

Mid-League Mayhem: Places 4 to 8

Veteran singer Jang Minho claimed fourth with 14,616 votes (7.1%), followed by Enoch in fifth at 12,124 votes (5.9%).

Park Jihyun (6th, 11,391 votes), Jinwon (7th, 10,303), and Hong Isak (8th, 10,201) are all tightly clustered around the 10,000 mark. That means the mid-tier rankings are anything but secure—every vote counts for these artists next month.

Park Jihyun, once dubbed the strongest challenger to Hwang, will need a bounce-back after slipping to sixth.

On the Edge: Who’s in, Who’s Slipping?

Ninth-place Jung Dongwon (6,040 votes) edged out Park Changgeun (10th, 5,904 votes) by a whisper. Meanwhile, An Seonghun (11th), Park Seojin (12th), and legendary trot singers like Yeongtak (14th) continue to maintain steady, if modest, showings.

Although further down the list, these artists continue to demonstrate loyal fanbases, and strategic boosts could shake things up fast.

Dark Horses & Rising Hopes

In the lower ranks, familiar names with passionate fan followings—like singer-actor Lee Chanwon (16th, 1,211 votes) and ballad king Park Hyo-shin (17th, 855 votes)—have the potential to leap up the chart with just a bit of coordinated fandom magic.

Lim Youngwoong, surprisingly low at 19th with just 187 votes, might just be giving fans a reason to rally harder come October.

The Reign Continues—For Now

Hwang Youngwoong’s ironclad reign is no longer just about popularity; it’s a well-oiled machine of fan dedication, timing, and relentless online voting. But with Son Bina and Son Taejin closing in, October could witness the most competitive shakeup yet.

Can the challengers break the streak, or will Hwang’s reign stretch to a 17th victory lap?
