Jeongyeon to Miss ‘THIS IS FOR’ Tour Stop in Bulacan
On June 2, JYP Entertainment announced that TWICE’s Jeongyeon will not be participating in the group’s Bulacan concert in the Philippines, set for June 4, due to health-related concerns.
Agency Statement: Prioritizing Health Above All
In a post shared via TWICE’s official social media channels, JYP stated, “Jeongyeon will not be attending the TWICE ‘THIS IS FOR’ WORLD TOUR IN BULACAN due to health reasons.”
The label added, “We deeply apologize to fans who’ve waited a long time for this show. This was an unavoidable decision, made with Jeongyeon’s health and full recovery as our utmost priority.”
The Tour Goes On
TWICE is currently celebrating their 10th anniversary with their sixth world tour, ‘THIS IS FOR’. It’s their biggest one yet—spanning 42 cities and 56 performances globally. Even with Jeongyeon’s absence in one location, the group hasn’t lost momentum.
Something Special for ONCE
To mark their 10th year, TWICE is also gearing up to drop a special album titled “TEN: The Story Goes On” on October 10. The title track, “ME+YOU,” is already building buzz.
Fans, lovingly dubbed ONCE, can look forward to a flurry of teasers—from concept images and sneak peeks to a prologue film—rolling out soon. If past comebacks are anything to go by, expect the internet to lose its collective chill.
Fans Rally Behind Jeongyeon
This isn’t the first time Jeongyeon has paused activities for health—a reminder that even K-pop idols need to prioritize self-care in a grueling industry. Fans have responded with an outpouring of support, many echoing the sentiment:
“Your health comes first, always. We’ll be here when you’re ready.”
Final Thoughts
While fans in the Philippines may be disappointed not to see OT9 live, they’ll surely understand that sometimes, hitting pause is the most powerful move. Here’s hoping Jeongyeon rests up and returns stronger than ever.
Until then, the ‘THIS IS FOR’ tour—and TWICE’s epic 10-year celebration—marches on.
