Ahn Dayoung & Marrakech to Hold First Joint Concert ‘0815 FRIDAY’

Singer-songwriter Ahn Dayoung and alt-pop duo Marrakech will team up for their first joint concert, '0815 FRIDAY,' on August 15 at Seoul's Rolling Hall. Expect a fusion of genres and new music premieres.

A Unique Meeting of Musical Talents

Singer-songwriter Ahn Dayoung and alternative-pop duo Marrakech are coming together for their first-ever joint concert titled ‘0815 FRIDAY: Ahn Dayoung & Marrakech’. The highly-anticipated show will take place on August 15 at Seoul’s Rolling Hall, a venue known for spotlighting indie artists.

Blending Different Sounds on One Stage

Though they each work in distinct genres, Ahn Dayoung and Marrakech are uniting their sounds in this hybrid performance experience. To build buzz, both artists posted a photo together on social media, hinting at strong on-stage chemistry and sparking fan excitement.

Ahn Dayoung, who recently wrapped up a successful solo concert following the release of her second full-length album ‘WHERE IS MY FRIEND?’, is set to bring that same energy to the joint concert. Marrakech, meanwhile, will use the event to reveal tracks from their upcoming EP for the first time—marking their return nearly a year after their 2023 single ‘Self Control’.

Meet the Artists

Ahn Dayoung first caught attention in 2012 after winning the Gold Prize at the 23rd Yoo Jae-ha Music Competition. She later formed the post-rock band ‘We Are in the Endless Echoes,’ which clinched the ‘Hello Rookie of the Year’ special judges’ award from EBS Space Gonggam. As a solo act, Ahn has solidified her place in the Korean music scene with acclaimed projects like ‘ANTIHERO’ and ‘Burning Letter’. Her recent 2025 album has been praised for balancing emotional depth with mainstream appeal.

Marrakech, a two-member act consisting of Kim Youngwook and Cho Sungha, debuted in 2019 with the single ‘Floating’. Known for their minimalist synth tunes and romantic lyrics, they’ve carved out a niche in the alt-pop and nu-disco genre. After years of independent releases, the duo recently signed with Magic Strawberry Sound to expand their artistic reach.

If you’re eager to witness this genre-defying collaboration, tickets for ‘0815 FRIDAY’ go on sale June 18 at 8 PM KST through Melon Ticket. For fans of Korean indie and alternative music, this performance promises a night of dynamic storytelling through sound.
