AHOF Breaks Rookie Records with Debut Album and MV Views

Rookie boy group AHOF is making waves in the K-pop scene, breaking debut records with their first mini-album and title track 'Rendezvous'.

AHOF Rewrites Rookie Records with Debut Mini-Album

Rookie boy group AHOF has taken the K-pop industry by storm, breaking sales records and topping charts just a week after their debut.

Formed through SBS’s survival show ‘Universe League’, AHOF—consisting of members Steven, Seo Jungwoo, Cha Woongki, Zhang Shuaibo, Park Han, JL, Park Juwon, Zeun, and Daisuke—released their first mini-album ‘WHO WE ARE’ on July 1. According to Hanteo Chart, the album recorded 360,985 copies sold in its first week (July 1–7), marking the highest debut-week sales among 2025 rookie boy groups. This feat also earned them the 5th place for highest debut-week sales for a boy band in K-pop history.

‘Rendezvous’ Tops Charts and Racks Up Views

The album’s title song, ‘Rendezvous’, garnered instant attention, rising to No.1 on Bugs’ real-time chart upon release. Impressively, every track from the album placed within the top ranks of the same chart.

The momentum didn’t stop there. The music video for ‘Rendezvous’ surpassed 26.85 million views within a week, the highest for any boy group debut in 2025 so far—further proving their massive appeal on all fronts, from digital streams to visuals and performances.

Authenticity Strikes a Chord with Fans

What’s driving their soaring success? Industry experts say it’s AHOF’s emphasis on genuine storytelling and emotional resonance. Their debut concept revolves around the emotional world of a young boy grappling with anxiety and hope, with each member pouring sincere emotion into their performances. This authenticity has deeply resonated with fans worldwide.

Their nostalgic musical direction also played a vital role. With a melody that recalls the ‘golden era’ of K-pop—something fans have missed in recent years—AHOF delivered familiarity wrapped in fresh energy. It’s a risky but calculated choice that paid off.

A Rookie Group Set for Hall-of-Fame Status

Backed by their survival show fame, dedicated international fanbase, and onboard skills, AHOF secured the title of ‘top rookie of 2025’ within just one week of debut. Their group name, which stands for All time Hall Of Famer and symbolizes the incomplete number ‘9’, reflects their ambitious dream of entering the Hall of Fame of K-pop.

With their debut single ‘Rendezvous’, AHOF plans to continue full-scale promotional activities. Given their explosive start, many are eager to see what milestones the group will conquer next.
