AHOF Invites Global Fans to Join the Naming Party
What’s in a name? For freshly-debuted K-pop boy group AHOF, apparently a lot. The nine-member group—made up of Steven, Seo Jungwoo, Cha Woongki, Zhang Shuaibo, Park Han, JL, Park Juwon, Zuen, and Daisuke—is letting fans decide what their official fanclub will be called. And no, you can’t choose “BTS stans 2.0.”
Fandom Name Voting Is On Now
The campaign began on July 20 and will run until July 25 at noon (KST). Fans can cast their votes through a Google Form link released on AHOF’s official social media. Alongside casting one vote among the suggested names, fans are also welcome to pitch their own unique ideas. Democracy meets Hallyu.
From ‘FAMER’ to ‘Twinkle’: Name Ideas That Sparkle
The list of fandom name contenders is as diverse as it is creative. Think names like ‘열 (Yeol)’—meaning ‘ten’ in Korean (a play on the group’s name, which means ‘nine’), ‘FAMER’ (a blend of ‘fame’ and ‘family’), ‘AUR’ (short for ‘Our’), and ‘ALUV’—a mashup of AHOF and ‘love’. There’s also ‘Twinkle’, the adorable ‘아바라 (Ah-Ba-Ra)’, meaning ‘Ahof 바라기’ or ‘those who long for AHOF’.
Fun fact: some of these names were suggested by the members themselves, showing their eagerness to build strong bonds with their growing fandom.
Debut Era Numbers That Impress
AHOF burst onto the scene with debut album ‘WHO WE ARE’, quickly making a splash in the K-pop pool. They pulled off a top-five ranking for rookie album sales, snagged three music show wins, and secured headlines as one of the most promising new boy groups of 2024.
Global Rookies On the Rise
The group’s fanbase isn’t just domestic—their global rise is heating up fast. AHOF recently wrapped a successful promo tour in Osaka and Tokyo, where fans filled venues and cheered like it was a BTS concert circa 2015. The experience only pumped them up for the next round—they’re launching their second release event on July 22.
Fancon in Manila: A Major Milestone
Their first international fan meeting, ‘AHOF 1st Philippine Fancon Rendezvous in Manila’, is already sold out. Happening on July 30 at the iconic Smart Araneta Coliseum, the show of support from Filipino fans proves just how Hallyu-hungry the world still is.
What’s Next?
AHOF isn’t slowing down. On July 21, they’re performing at the 2025 K-WORLD DREAM AWARDS at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Stadium. We might not know the fandom name yet, but one thing’s clear: these nine are quickly becoming ten out of ten.
The name may still be undecided, but the love from fans? That’s already written in bold.
