New Boy Group AHOF Gears Up for Highly Anticipated Debut
The countdown has begun—only two days remain until the official debut of new K-pop boy group AHOF (아홉). Composed of nine multinational members—Steven, Seo Jeongwoo, Cha Woonggi, Zhang Shuaibo, Park Han, JL, Park Juwon, Zeon, and Daisuke—AHOF will make their debut on July 1 with the release of their first mini-album, ‘WHO WE ARE’.
Sharing Their Story Through Music
‘WHO WE ARE’ isn’t just a mini-album—it’s a cinematic introduction to AHOF’s identity and emotional journey. The album features six tracks, including the title song ‘Rendezvous’, and touches on themes of growth, self-discovery, and hope. From the moving intro, ‘A Boy, Falling on Stage’, to the concluding outro ‘Nine, The Number Where We Shine’, it captures the heartfelt reflections of a group finding their place and purpose.
From Survival Show to Global Spotlight
AHOF was formed through SBS’s survival variety show ‘Universe League’, with the final nine members emerging victorious after intense competition. Their talent, visual appeal, and potential as global stars drew attention from fans across over 200 countries. As one of the few groups built purely through global fan votes, AHOF has cultivated a strong international fanbase even before their debut.
“We owe everything to the fans who believed in us from the start,” said member Steven during a pre-debut interview.
A Debut Rooted in Honesty and Growth
Rather than chasing perfection, this debut embraces honesty. The album explores the uneasiness and excitement of stepping into the spotlight, revealing authentic emotions that resonate with fans. AHOF presents themselves as a team still evolving—imperfect but full of promise.
“This is just the beginning,” says Cha Woonggi, who also contributed to the lyrics of ‘Rendezvous’. “I wanted to write something sincere that reflects our journey so far.”
Backed by Proven Producers
Their debut album is produced by EL CAPITXN, a well-known K-pop producer and the former director of Universe League. Having guided the group during the show, he brings deep familiarity and insight into their musical direction. The album is structured so that each track organically connects to the next, offering listeners an immersive storytelling experience.
Debut Showcase and Album Drop
AHOF will officially drop their debut album ‘WHO WE ARE’ on July 1 at 6 p.m. KST across major music platforms. That evening at 8 p.m., the group is set to meet fans face-to-face during a debut showcase event.
With a compelling narrative, an international fanbase, and musical authenticity, AHOF is more than ready to join the ever-growing ranks of K-pop icons.
