ASTRO’s MJ and Jinjin Form ZOONIZINI—And Fans Can’t Get Enough
Forget coin tosses—MJ and Jinjin just rolled the dice and won the jackpot. The ASTRO duo wrapped their first official ZOONIZINI fan party, “Roll The Dice,” with back-to-back shows on October 27 at Seoul’s Ewha Womans University Samsung Hall.
Rolling It Big with “Roll The Dice”
The pair debuted as ZOONIZINI in August with their first mini-album DICE. This fan party wasn’t just a concert—it was a heart-to-heart with fans from all over the globe thanks to the event’s livestream. From new tracks to hilarious crowd games, ZOONIZINI showed off their dynamic chemistry and solidified their unit fandom.
Live Performances, Fan Games & Full-On Fun
The fan event was a packed program: ZOONIZINI performed every track off their debut album, including the emotional “New world” and title track “Some Things Never Change.” MJ and Jinjin also brought the funk with performances like “Utopia” (complete with fresh choreography) and the breezy “Starlight Voyage.” Fans turned up the volume with chants and singalongs.
But this wasn’t just about the music. During the segment “CRAZY DICE,” the duo rolled literal dice to complete unpredictable missions—think variety-show chaos meets K-pop charm. One standout? A 100-second mission to find a mystery item among fans in the audience.
AROHA Got the Love—and the Laughs
MJ and Jinjin didn’t forget their roots. They pulled out solo tracks like “You” and “Get Set Yo,” and even revisited ASTRO fan favorites. Jinjin lost a pre-show challenge (whoops) and had to take on the fan-submitted “Stop it” and “Irritated” challenges as a punishment. Result: total crowd meltdown—in the best way.
At the event’s close, MJ shared, “We were worried about starting a unit, but AROHA supported us so much. Thank you—and we’re so happy you liked it.” Jinjin added, “This is all thanks to our fans. We’ll work hard to meet more of you around the world.”
Next Stop: Global Tour
And they weren’t kidding. ZOONIZINI announced their “Roll The Dice” tour: Hong Kong on October 5, Manila on October 11, and Mexico City on November 4 and 5. Get your dice ready, ZOONIZINI is coming.
MJ and Jinjin are also staying busy outside the unit. MJ has been making waves on JTBC’s reality show “Let’s Kick Together 4,” and Jinjin just wrapped his solo “JIN LAB Vol.1: Find Your Groove” shows in Korea and Japan. He’s also starring in the stage musical Dream High.
One thing’s clear—this duo is more than just a side project. ZOONIZINI is here to stay, and AROHA worldwide are definitely along for the ride.
