Billboard Korea Collaborates with PLAVE for Limited Special Edition

Virtual idol group PLAVE is taking the spotlight as Billboard Korea unveils a special edition magazine in collaboration with the group. Released in six cover versions, this edition captures PLAVE’s diverse charm and is already generating buzz among fans through pre-orders.

Stylish Covers Featuring Strong Visuals

On April 22, Billboard Korea revealed a group cover of PLAVE on its official social media channels, sparking excitement. Dressed in all-black suits topped with white gold and diamond accessories, the members showcased a chic and mature image that left a strong impression.

Six Covers, One Ultimate Collector’s Item

Along with the group cover, there are five individual member covers, making a total of six special edition versions. Each features unique colors and concepts tailored to represent each PLAVE member’s personality. The magazine is also designed in a large poster format, boosting its collectible appeal. Fans can also purchase eye-catching acrylic photo stands with modern designs.

Pre-order Now Through May 5

Pre-orders for the magazine are open now via the MAKESTAR official website until May 5 at 11:59 PM (KST). The official release is scheduled for May 15. Buyers can choose between a full set including all versions, or individual sets featuring artist books and photo stands. Fans also have the option to purchase the artist book or acrylic stand separately.

PLAVE’s Chart-Topping Success

PLAVE made waves in February with their third mini-album ‘Caligo Pt.1’, setting records on Korean music platform Melon for the most streams within 24 hours among all releases. They became the fastest group to enter the ‘Billions Club.’ Impressively, PLAVE also became the first virtual idol group to enter Billboard’s Global 200 chart, building a firm footing at home and abroad.

Bringing PLAVE Closer to Fans Worldwide

This magazine release aims to deepen fan engagement and expand PLAVE’s global reach. Billboard Korea plans to unveil member-specific motion covers and interview videos in the coming days, heightening anticipation. As one fan commented on social media, “Can’t wait to display all six covers on my wall!”

Competing for Top Honors

Meanwhile, PLAVE is holding strong in the April Netizen Awards, currently ranking 8th in the Best Group category thanks to dedicated fan votes. As of 5:41 PM KST on April 24, PLAVE had 346 votes, demonstrating their growing popularity not just in the virtual idol scene—but among real fans.
