BTOB received the K-pop Special Award at the 34th Seoul Music Awards, delivering stunning performances and heartfelt gratitude to fans.

BTOB Wins K-pop Special Award at One of Korea’s Most Prestigious Ceremonies

On January 21, BTOB members Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Lim Hyunsik, and Peniel once again lived up to their title as a “trustworthy group” at the 34th Seoul Music Awards, held at Inspire Arena in Incheon. The group was honored with the K-pop Special Award, handpicked by the judges for their outstanding impact on the Korean music landscape over the past year.

A Stage Filled with Gratitude and Talent

Established in 1990, the Seoul Music Awards is one of Korea’s most respected music ceremonies. This year’s event held extra significance as it marked the 40th anniversary of Sports Seoul, the organizing media outlet.

In their heartfelt acceptance speech, BTOB expressed immense gratitude: “We’re truly thankful. This will be a day we’ll remember forever. We will continue singing with sincerity so every moment spent listening to our music becomes special. Above all, thank you to our Melodies (official fandom name) for your unwavering support.”

‘LOVE TODAY’ and Legendary Covers Wow the Audience

Following their award, the group performed their latest title track “LOVE TODAY” from their March EP ‘BTODAY.’ Their seamless live vocals, bolstered by a rich string arrangement, highlighted the group’s emotive melodies and musical depth.

They turned up the energy with a performance of their fan-favorite ballad “Missing You,” proving once again why they are considered a vocal powerhouse in K-pop. The hall echoed with cheers as fans celebrated every note.

Seo Eunkwang’s Special Stage Makes the Night Unforgettable

Leader Seo Eunkwang also delivered a surprise solo performance exclusively for the Seoul Music Awards. He impressed with his cover of Shin Seung-hun’s “You Reflected in My Smile,” charming the audience with both his mellow tone and power vocals.

In a touching collaboration, he teamed up with veteran singer Byun Jin-sub—who won the ceremony’s first-ever Grand Prize—for a rendition of the classic “To the Lady,” creating a special moment that bridged K-pop generations.

Global Fan Love Powers BTOB’s Tour

Earlier this month, BTOB successfully wrapped up their 2025 fan-con tour “3,2,1 GO! MELympic” in Jakarta, Indonesia, once again proving their global appeal. As they continue to connect with fans across borders, their sincerity and talent only grow stronger with time.

With their latest award, powerful performances, and unwavering dedication to fans, BTOB reaffirms why they’re one of K-pop’s most beloved and enduring groups.
