BTS Jimin Joins High-Profile Donor Club with His Dad and Brother

BTS's Jimin, along with his father and younger brother, became a member of the Green Noble Club — a major donor community in Korea — marking the first time all three joined together as a family. Their charitable contributions go beyond fandom influence, signaling a legacy of giving.

A Family That Gives Together

Jimin of BTS isn’t just melting hearts on stage — he’s touching lives offstage, too. On May 29, Korean children’s welfare organization Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea announced that Jimin, his younger brother, and their father have officially become members of the Green Noble Club — a society of high-value donors.

In doing so, they became the first parent-child trio to join the club, proving once again that generosity runs deep in the Park family DNA.

So, What Is the Green Noble Club?

Launched in 2017, the Green Noble Club recognizes individuals who donate more than 100 million won (roughly $75,000 USD) to support children’s welfare in South Korea. With over 548 members to date, it’s like the philanthropic version of a VIP lounge — except the perks are measured in positive change, not status points.

Jimin’s Record of Giving

Jimin joined the Green Noble ranks in 2021 after donating 100 million won to help underprivileged youth in Busan, improve housing for children in poor conditions, and support families hit hard by the pandemic. His father followed suit not long after, in early 2022, contributing to ChildFund Korea’s talent development initiative.

The final piece of this compassionate puzzle came together in May 2024, when Jimin’s younger brother also joined the club — completing what fans might call “the holy trinity of Park family kindness.”

Why Fans Are Tearing Up

“This goes beyond donation — it’s symbolic of passing generosity across generations and shows how K-pop fandom can inspire real-world good,” said Hwang Young-gi, chairman of ChildFund Korea. He emphasized their goal of changing children’s lives in tangible ways through acts of kindness like this.

It’s not the first time Jimin has made headlines for giving back. He’s awarded scholarships worth nearly $75,000 multiple times to schools in Jeolla Province and continues to be a role model both in and out of the spotlight.

Giving Is The New Cool

For ARMY and beyond, the Park family is setting a high bar — not for album sales this time, but for generosity. With his music, charisma, and now charity work, Jimin proves that the heart of BTS extends far beyond the stage.

So the next time someone says K-pop is all about glam, just mention the Park clan — quietly changing the world, one heartfelt donation at a time.
