What’s Happening in Shibuya This Fall?
BTS’s Jin, the worldwide handsome himself, is putting his ambassador stamp on IGIN, the Korean alcohol brand that’s been selling out in seconds. And from October 15 to 19, 2025, IGIN is hosting its first-ever Japanese pop-up store at OPEN BASE SHIBUYA. If you blink, you might miss it—just like their gin.
IGIN’s Meteoric Rise: From Korea to Japan
IGIN made a splash when it launched in Japan in July 2025. Its canned “APPLE TONIC” hit Lawson shelves nationwide in late August—and promptly disappeared. Sold out. Everywhere. And if you thought that was a fluke, think again: this fall, the pop-up that was a hit back in Korea is heading straight for the heart of Tokyo’s trend hub.
Inside IGIN’s Pop-Up Playground
Slinky into a world where Korean pop meets Japanese chic. The entrance flaunts a pop-and-wafu (Japanese-modern) vibe, pulling you right into Jin’s gin-sized universe. Expect:
- Massive LED panels featuring Jin—larger than life, as he should be
- Interactive photo booths for the ultimate Insta bait
- A tasting bar to try IGIN’s signature drinks (sorry, must be 20+)
Don’t sleep on the merch floor either. It’s stocked with fan-favorite goods seen in Korea, plus over 10 brand new items you’ve never seen before.
New Drop Alert: Japan-Exclusive “IGIN APPLE GIN JAPAN Edition”
Say hello to the matte black bottle that’s more couture than most handbags. Featuring colorful, Japan-inspired illustrations, this limited edition is more than a bottle—it’s a collector’s trophy. Extras include a photo card set of Jin, complete with chain-hung visuals so you can Toast With Jin™ in spirit (and style).
Only a limited quantity will be available, and after the in-person event, select bottles will drop online and in Aeon stores across Japan.
Merch Goals: From Glassware to Fashion Collabs
The star-studded merch lineup includes:
- Rock glasses, acrylic coasters, and stirrers straight from the Korean pop-up
- Over 10 brand new items, including:
- A collab with trendy Korean streetwear label WACKY WILLY
- Festival-friendly items like tattoo stickers, strap lanyards, and more
Whether you’re building your bar cart or just want to flex in fan style, there’s something for every type of ARMY (of legal drinking age).
How to Join the Party
The event runs from October 15–19, 2025 (11AM–8PM), with doors opening later (2PM) on day one. Entry is ticketed—free, but must be reserved in advance starting September 24 at noon. You can grab up to 2 tickets per person. Age checks are enforced, and under-20s can’t sip or purchase any alcohol.
Can’t make it in person? Keep tabs on IGIN’s official Instagram (@igin.global) for updates, pop-up recaps, and online restock info.
Final Shot: Jin, Gin & Joy
Whether you’re a BTS ARMY, a craft gin fan, or just chasing the aesthetic vibes, IGIN’s Tokyo takeover is the kind of event that checks every box. Limited-edition drops? Check. Visuals for your feed? Absolutely. A little piece of Jin-approved Hallyu magic? Guaranteed.
So, are you ready to drink it all in?
