CATCH THE YOUNG Brings Fire to Pentaport Fest – Again

K-band CATCH THE YOUNG rocked the Pentaport stage for the second year, firing up summer crowds with energetic youth anthems and tight live performances.

CATCH THE YOUNG Ignites Summer Energy at Pentaport Rock Festival

On August 1, fresh-faced band CATCH THE YOUNG (SanE, Kihoon, Namhyun, Junyong, Jungmo) brought the heat to the 2025 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, hosted at the vibrant Songdo Moonlight Festival Park. It marked their second consecutive performance at the festival—and they didn’t disappoint.

From Retro Rock to Synth-Pop Vibes

Their set kicked off with the retro-tinged single “Ideal Type”, blending classic rock riffs with upbeat synth for a feel-good opener. From the first notes, fans were clapping and singing along—proof of the band’s growing presence in the Korean indie scene.

Live Band, Loud Identity

They followed up with “My Own Way” and “Talking To Myself,” showcasing contrasting emotional tones and musical styles without losing cohesion. Tracks like “Dream It” and “The Legend” elevated the set with deeper, more narrative-driven sounds, capturing that signature CATCH THE YOUNG storytelling vibe.

When K-Bands Cover Queen

One of the night’s highlights? A high-octane cover of Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now.” They pulled it off with their own cheeky charm and infectious energy, showing their range—and reverence for rock legends.

Youthful Chaos, Unfiltered Connection

The closing track, “YOUTH!!!”, turned the park into a massive chorus. Fans belted out every lyric, proving this band isn’t just about performing—they’re about connecting. Without elaborate stage effects or choreography, CATCH THE YOUNG let their raw sound and honest messages carry the show.

From Busking to Main Stages

This isn’t their first time stealing the spotlight. Last month, during a flash busking session in Seoul’s Sinchon area, a technical glitch cut out their sound—but fans didn’t miss a beat, turning it into an impromptu singalong. That same energy translated seamlessly to this larger festival stage.

Next Up: JUMF and Beyond

CATCH THE YOUNG isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Coming up, they’ll take on major events like the Jeonju Ultimate Music Festival (JUMF) and the Soundplanet Festival in September. Youthful, passionate, and performance-ready, these guys are proving that live bands still have a pulse in the K-music ecosystem.

As far as rookie-to-rockers stories go, this chapter hits all the right notes.
