South Korea’s iconic singer Cho Yongpil is making headlines once again by capturing the top spot in the ‘Superstar’ category of the 2025 July Netizen Awards. With 2,036 votes, he holds a commanding 32.6% of the total, making it clear that his legacy continues strong well into the digital age.

Despite his decades-long career, Cho Yongpil’s influence remains unmatched. His loyal fan base and cross-generational appeal have propelled him to the forefront of this year’s public voting. He leads by more than 770 votes ahead of the runner-up, indicating that his reign isn’t over anytime soon.

Coming in at second place is Kim Wansun with 1,263 votes (20.2%). Known as the dance diva of the 1980s and 90s, Kim continues to wield star power as one of the top female artists in the rankings.
