Rising K-pop Group Takes the Stage in Macau
Rookie boy group Close Your Eyes (members: Jeon Minwook, Ma Jingxiang, Jang Yeojoon, Kim Sungmin, Song Seungho, Kenshin, and Seo Kyungbae) is heading to Macau this August for their first major appearance at a Greater China music award show.
First Ever TIMA Performance
Their agency, Uncore, officially announced that the group will perform at the TMElive International Music Awards (TIMA), a brand-new show launched by Tencent Music Entertainment. Set to take place on August 22–23 at the Galaxy Arena in Macau, TIMA is already gaining buzz as the next big Asian music event. Close Your Eyes will grace the stage on the first night of the show on August 22, meeting their Chinese fans in person once again.
Building Pan-Asian Momentum
This isn’t their first foray into China. Back in May, the group held fan signings in Shanghai and Beijing, drawing enthusiastic local crowds. Their recent “Closer Moments” fan meeting tour also made stops across Japan, Hong Kong, and Taipei, signaling their rapid rise throughout Asia.
A Cinematic Stage Performance Promised
Known for performances that feel “like a well-directed movie,” Close Your Eyes is expected to deliver a tight, high-energy stage at TIMA. It’s their first time at a Chinese award show—and they’re not holding back. Fans can expect a fully loaded set that showcases their cinematic flair and explosive synchronization, showing just why they’re being called global “super rookies.”
More Global Stages Ahead
Following their TIMA debut, the group is slated to appear at The Fact Music Awards (TMA) on September 20 at Macao’s Outdoor Performance Venue. Later this summer, they’ll continue promotions with their vibrant new single, “Paint Candy,” first revealed during the 2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer special.
With each new international stop, Close Your Eyes is not just expanding their fanbase—they’re solidifying their place among the industry’s most promising newcomers.
