All Eyes on Kai: Solo Stardom Sealed in Seoul

After wowing fans across Asia and North America, EXO’s Kai brought his first solo tour to a climactic close with a three-day encore concert in Seoul — and it was as dazzling as it was emotional.

The “2025 KAI SOLO CONCERT TOUR <KAION> ENCORE IN SEOUL” lit up Jangchung Arena from September 26 to 28, showcasing a leveled-up Kai who clearly poured his heart and soul into curating jaw-dropping performances for the finale.

A Performance Playground of Lights, Mirrors, and Emotion

The setlist got a glow-up for the encore shows. From the sleek opener “I See You” to the high-octane energy of “Spoiler”, Kai didn’t just perform — he painted the stage. Highlights included the gravity-defying mirror choreography in “Amnesia”, the Broadway-esque brilliance of “Off and Away,” and a fan-hugging walk through the crowd during “Flight to Paris.”

Then there was “Slidin'” with its tilted stage trickery, and “Bomba,” where Kai’s signature hand moves had fans shrieking. Add in a floating-ball light show during “Peaches,” and giant teddy bear props for “To Be Honest” (an adorable nod to Kai’s teddy bear mascot), and the production felt more like a fantasy film than a concert.

Sehun Crashes the Stage — And Fans Lose It

On the final night, fans got hit with a twist no one saw coming: EXO’s Sehun made a surprise appearance, fresh off his military discharge. The duo reinterpreted Kai’s “Domino” and Sehun’s “On Me” in a fresh, collaborative version that reminded everyone why EXO’s chemistry is the stuff of K-pop legend.

“I wanted this to be a gift to EXO-Ls,” Kai said, referring to the group’s fandom. “Sharing this stage with Sehun made it even more special.” Cue the group hug — emotionally and digitally.

Tears, Thanks, and a Touching Farewell

By the end of the concert, Kai couldn’t hold back his tears. “Coming back from the military and doing this tour — every single moment made me feel unbelievably happy,” he told the crowd. “Watching you enjoy my stages gives me a satisfaction and love I can’t trade for anything. I want to be with you all just like this, forever. Please keep coming to see me. Be Kai for life.”

The crowd didn’t stay quiet, either. Wearing coordinated leopard-print outfits (yes, there was a dress code), fans held up slogans like “A whole day is happiness with Kai” and “Kai’s world is our home ♥”. The audience belted out fan favorites like “Bomba,” “To Be Honest,” and “Angel”, and sent Kai off with chants of “Jongin, thank you,” and “Kai, forever.”

What’s Next for Kai?

With this solo tour behind him and his military service complete, Kai now joins the growing list of K-pop idols re-entering the scene with fresh energy. If he can bring this level of artistry solo, imagine what’s next for EXO as a unit.

EXO-Ls, are your hearts still intact?
