Top 5th-Gen Girl Groups Set to Light Up the 2025 K WORLD DREAM AWARDS

On June 23, the organizers of the 2025 K WORLD DREAM AWARDS revealed the first wave of performing artists, featuring some of the most prominent 5th-generation K-pop girl groups, including tripleS, FIFTY FIFTY, Hearts2Hearts, and KiiiKiii.

tripleS: Pioneers of Idol Possibility

Debuting in 2023 under the slogan “The Idol of All Possibilities,” tripleS has boldly experimented with various unit combinations known as “dimensions.” Their innovative approach resonated with fans, and their May release ASSEMBLE25 proved their commercial power by recording over 516,000 copies sold in its first week, marking them as a top-tier group in today’s K-pop landscape.

FIFTY FIFTY: Easing into Global Ears

Originally debuting in 2022 and reshaping into a five-member act in 2023, FIFTY FIFTY continues to charm listeners with their signature easy-listening tracks. Their April mini-album Day & Night featured the title track Pookie, which dominated various short-form content charts, causing a viral ripple across social media platforms worldwide.

Hearts2Hearts: SM’s Powerhouse Newcomers

Backed by SM Entertainment, Hearts2Hearts struck back-to-back hits with their debut single The Chase in February and follow-up STYLE in June. Both songs made notable entries into main Korean music streaming charts—referred to as the “concrete charts”—solidifying the group’s status as a major rookie force in 2024.

KiiiKiii: Gen Z’s Rising Icons

Even before their debut, Starship Entertainment’s new girl group KiiiKiii was turning heads in both music and advertising circles, thanks to their fresh and youthful “Gen Z vibe.” Their March debut single I DO ME quickly went viral, topping YouTube trending charts and netting them a first-place trophy on a Korean music program within just a month of their debut.

Organized by the 2025 K WORLD DREAM AWARDS committee and led by major K-culture agency YJ Partners, further details will be released on the event’s official homepage soon.
