K-pop Meets Pokémon in the Most Adorable Crossover
What do you get when you mix sparkling rookies, retro beats, and Pikachu? Hearts2Hearts just answered that with their new music video.
‘Pretty Please’ Sets the Stage for Their First Mini Album
On October 24 at 6 p.m. KST, Hearts2Hearts unveiled ‘Pretty Please’, a pre-release track from their upcoming 1st mini album FOCUS. The track is now available on major streaming platforms, and its charming music video premiered on YouTube via the SMTOWN channel.
Pikachu, Chikorita & More Join the Dance Party
The real twist? ‘Pretty Please’ is part of an official collaboration with the upcoming game Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A, set to launch on October 16. The MV features a peek at beloved Pokémon like Pikachu, Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile in a glittery fusion of nostalgia and new-generation flair.
Plus, it doesn’t stop there. The video will also be used as a tie-in commercial for the game’s soundtrack, making this partnership not just cute, but clever.
Retro Vibes and Emotional Sparkles
The song itself is a new jack swing-style dance track—think early ’90s grooviness with modern polish. Lyrically, it captures the fluttery joy of journeying together, emphasizing the comfort and sparkle each person (or Pokémon) brings just by being there. Thematically, it aligns perfectly with the game, which centers on building peaceful coexistence between humans and Pokémon in a redeveloping Lumiose City (known as Miare City in Korean).
This Isn’t Their First Brand Collab
Although Hearts2Hearts only debuted in February, they’ve already made waves with several brand collaborations. Their latest Pokémon crossover looks set to charm K-pop and gaming fans worldwide. With their album FOCUS dropping on October 20 and pre-orders open now, all eyes are on their next move.
As one fan put it on social media: “They had me at Pikachu!”
