Hearts2Hearts Drop Pokémon Collab MV and Launch Japanese X

Rookie girl group Hearts2Hearts just launched their official Japanese X (formerly Twitter) account—and dropped a Pokémon-themed MV for their 90s-inspired track “Pretty Please.”

Hearts2Hearts open doors to Japan—and the ’90s

Rising K-pop girl group Hearts2Hearts is making big moves. On June 24 at 6PM KST, the group launched their official Japanese X account, signaling a full-on expansion into the J-pop zone.

The same day, the girls dropped both the music video and digital release of “Pretty Please,” a swoony track from their upcoming debut mini-album FOCUS, set to release on October 20. Spoiler alert: It’s got Pokémon and serious ’90s vibes.

Retro groove meets new-gen vocals

Musically, “Pretty Please” pulls straight from the 90s New Jack Swing playbook—think moog synths, tight rhythms, and high-energy dance beats. The lyrics? It’s all about the thrill of falling for someone who just gets you, walking alongside each other on life’s journey.

Layer that with warm synths, expressive vocals, and slick rap lines from all eight members, and you’ve got a nostalgic-yet-fresh banger that’s ready to loop on repeat.

A wild collab appears: Pokémon Legends Z-A

The music video levels up the hype, featuring a collab with the upcoming Nintendo release Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A. The visual follows H2H’s members enjoying an ideal carefree day—Pokémon elements casually sprinkled in like Easter eggs (or should we say, Poké Balls).

This isn’t just fan service. The MV will also be included in the game’s upcoming global advertising campaign, putting Hearts2Hearts front and center to gamers and Hallyu lovers everywhere.

What else is on the FOCUS album?

The group’s first mini-album FOCUS features six tracks total, including the title track “FOCUS,” the previously released single “STYLE,” and of course, “Pretty Please.” All tracks drop worldwide on October 20 at 6PM KST via major streaming platforms.

Physical CDs will also be released in Japan—with special local-only perks. So yes, collectors, this one’s for you.

Looking ahead

With a fresh take on retro, a Pokémon collab in the bag, and their sights set on Japan, Hearts2Hearts is making it clear: they’re not here to play small. Whether you’re a fan of K-pop, J-pop, or just vibey girl group energy, add this debut to your radar.
