HITGS Kicks Off Debut Countdown
HITGS, dubbed a ‘5th generation super rookie,’ is officially stepping into the K-pop scene. On May 1, the rookie girl group dropped the schedule for their debut single album, ‘Things we love : H’, via their official social media accounts.
Charming Concept with Daily Teaser Drops
The teaser image, filled with pastel hues, butterflies, and cute details, evokes a whimsical teenage charm. As outlined in the scheduler, the group will roll out three versions of concept photos and films between May 2 and 19. Additional content, including a trailer, mood film, and music video teaser, will follow, offering a daily promotional feast for fans.
The official debut will happen on May 28 at 6 PM (KST) when the music video for the title track ‘SOURPATCH’ is released alongside the album.
A Debut Backed by K-pop Industry Expertise
The group has already garnered industry attention with their sudden logo motion reveal on April 31, positioning themselves as this year’s “must-watch” new act. HITGS is the first girl group launched by Kim Kanghyo, CEO of H Music Entertainment and former Starship Entertainment producer behind acts like MONSTA X, WJSN, CRAVITY, and IVE.
What HITGS Stands For
HITGS is short for Hip, Innocent, Teenager, Girls, Story, reflecting the group’s identity. Their concept celebrates all the things teenage girls love, with a blend of pure passion, experimental sound, and signature performances that aim to set them apart from other rookies.
Pre-Debut Buzz
Before their official debut, the group already made notable appearances under the temporary name Project H at major events such as the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon pre-show, the TIRTIR pop-up store opening, and the 2025 F/W Seoul Fashion Week.
HITGS looks ready to shake up the industry, bringing a fresh presence as the next big stars of 5th-gen K-pop.
