Hwang Youngwoong Emerges as Top Contender

As of 9:55 a.m. on April 19, 2025, K-pop singer Hwang Youngwoong has secured a commanding lead in the Male Singer category of the monthly Netizen Awards. Garnering a total of 65,759 votes, he holds a strong 33.2% share of the vote.

Fierce Competition Among Top Contenders

Trailing behind in second place is Park Jihyun with 41,483 votes (20.9%), around 24,000 votes behind Hwang. Despite the gap, the race is hardly over, as Park continues a steady pursuit.

Third place is held by Son Taejin with 17,185 votes (8.7%), maintaining a stable position. Not far behind, Enok (12,379 votes, 6.2%) and Choi Sooho (11,230 votes, 5.7%) are in a tight race just within the top five, each surpassing the 10,000 vote mark to stay relevant contenders.

Middle Rankings See Heated Shakeups

The mid-tier rankings are just as competitive. Seo Youngtaek (9,944 votes), Jang Minho (8,503 votes), and Jinwon (8,417 votes) are locked in fierce competition. Notably, the razor-thin 86-vote difference between Jinwon and Jang Minho hints at potential shakeups.

Further down the list, Park Changgeun (4,391 votes), Hong Isak (4,434 votes), and Jung Dongwon (4,183 votes) are closely bunched together around the 2.1–2.2% range, showing signs of a tight mid-table race.

Veterans Struggle in Lower Tiers

In contrast, some big-name singers like Lim Youngwoong and Kim Heejae have surprised fans with unexpectedly low turnouts—only 77 and 87 votes, respectively—recording a negligible 0.0% share each. Despite their strong name recognition, they currently sit well outside the competitive zone.

Final Stretch Remains Unpredictable

Though Hwang Youngwoong seems poised to maintain his lead, the competition among 3rd to 8th place remains dynamic. With the voting period still open, shifts in rankings are entirely possible, especially given the tight margins in mid-tier positions.

Fans eagerly await to see whether Park Jihyun can pull off an upset or if middle-tier contenders will surge forward to shake up the current standings.
