Hwang Youngwoong Takes Early Lead in Netizen Awards with 60K Votes

Trot singer Hwang Youngwoong dominates the September Netizen Awards, securing over 60,000 votes and leading by more than 40,000 votes ahead of the competition.

Hwang Youngwoong Hits the 60K Mark

If you’re keeping tabs on September’s Netizen Awards, one name is impossible to miss—Hwang Youngwoong. As of 4:42 PM KST on September 23, the trot singer has racked up a massive 61,013 votes, firmly securing the number one spot in the “Best Male Artist” category. That’s a whopping 38.5% of all votes, making him the only contestant to crack the 60K club this round.

The Race for Second, But a Solo Show for First

Trailing behind are Son Bina with 17,045 votes (10.8%) and Son Taejin at 15,703 votes (9.9%). Though both are putting up double-digit scores, Hwang’s lead exceeds 40,000 votes. Unless a voting miracle happens, it’s safe to call this a one-man show.

Can Anyone Catch Up?

Jang Minho and Enoch are in the top five but far behind, with 11,571 votes (7.3%) and 9,774 votes (6.2%) respectively. Meanwhile, the mid-tier ranks include artists like Park Jihyun, Jinwon, and Hong Isak—holding steady, but not threatening the top tier dominance.

Fandom Power: More Than Just Numbers

“Surpassing 60,000 votes isn’t just a benchmark—it’s a flex of Hwang Youngwoong’s loyal fanbase,” said a Netizen Awards spokesperson. “Unless the competition heats up, this solo lead will only get stronger.”

Heading Toward the 100K Milestone?

With fan meetings and social content driving up support, all eyes are now on whether Hwang can reach the coveted 100,000-vote club before the month’s end. Fans sure seem ready for that challenge.

Whether you’re cheering for Hwang or betting on a surprise twist, one thing’s clear: the fan power fueling this race is no joke.
