Starship Unveils IDID’s Bold Visual Debut
Starship Entertainment’s latest boy group, IDID (short for “I Did It”), just made a powerful pre-debut splash. The group—comprised of Jang Yonghoon, Kim Minjae, Park Wonbin, Chu Yuchan, Park Sunghyun, Baek Junhyuk, and Jung Semin—has graced the August issue of Dazed Korea, and let’s just say: it’s not your average rookie rollout.
A Photoshoot Packed with Personality
Each member showed off their signature style in the editorial, from soft visuals to fierce charisma. Jang Yonghoon stole attention with airy, oceanic vibes—donning a loose blue-and-white V-neck tee that showed off his broad shoulders and wintery gaze. Meanwhile, Kim Minjae proved props can slay too, turning a skateboard into a pillow while his band-aided nose and sharp stare told a whole story.
Park Wonbin leaned into his fun-loving persona with a crushed soda can and a rebellious smirk, rocking a hoodie and silver chain. Chu Yuchan shook things up with asymmetrical goggles, a sheer sleeveless shirt, and a shoulder-baring pose, making fans do a double take.
Up Close and Personal
For a more intimate vibe, the remaining members—Park Sunghyun, Baek Junhyuk, and Jung Semin—got literal with close-ups. Sunghyun’s intense gaze could pierce through screens, while Baek Junhyuk playfully held a lollipop between his lips. Semin went for a freckled makeup look that added warmth—and maybe just a few extra hearts from global fans.
Messages That Melted Hearts
Along with the striking visuals, the members also penned heartfelt notes to fans. Highlights include Yonghoon promising, “I’ll always show my true self,” and Minjae sharing, “I can’t wait to spend all four seasons with our fans.” Baek Junhyuk sweetly added, “Like the word ‘eternity,’ I want to stay with our fans for a long time.”
Get Ready: Debut Dates Dropping
IDID is set for a pre-debut performance on July 24, with their first official mini-album ‘I did it.’ launching September 15. With this much buzz already building, they might just live up to their name—and then some.
If this is how they look pre-debut, we’re buckling up for whatever their official debut brings. Fifth-gen idols, make some room.
