ITZY’s Waterbomb Debut Delivers a Splash of Summer Power
[CBC News] K-pop performance queens ITZY made their first-ever appearance at Waterbomb Seoul 2025 on July 4 at the outdoor global stage in Kintex, Goyang — and completely owned the night.
The quintet — Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna — lit up the stage with stunning visuals and commanding energy, living up to their reputation as ‘stage masters.’
A Summer Setlist to Remember
With dazzling smiles and summer vibes, ITZY brought the heat and doused it all at once. They hyped up the crowd with tracks from their newest mini-album “Girls Will Be Girls”, including its title track and the vibrant B-side “Kiss & Tell.”
They followed up with a medley of fan-favorite hits — “WANNABE,” “SNEAKERS,” “DALLA DALLA,” and “Not Shy” — showcasing their signature charisma and establishing their rightful place as summer queens.
Riding High on Global Success
Following the release of “Girls Will Be Girls” on June 9, ITZY returned in full force with their first complete album of the year. The album topped the Worldwide iTunes Charts, while the high-concept, visually stunning music video sparked buzz among K-pop fans, trending No.1 globally on YouTube’s Music Video chart.
Showing their duality, the group performed both the bold title track “Girls Will Be Girls” and the bubbly “Kiss & Tell” on recent music broadcasts — proving they can switch from edgy chic to energetic sparkle with ease.
What’s Next for the Summer Queens?
As ITZY continues to ride a wave of international support, their dynamic presence at Waterbomb only adds to their momentum. Whether it’s through compelling narratives or captivating performances, the group proves time and again: this is ITZY’s era, and it’s far from over.
